Draft policy

Terms of service.

The proposed agreement governing File Canada recommendations and managed Canadian formation packages.

This draft requires review and approval by qualified Canadian legal counsel before production publication.

Draft effective date: September 3, 2026

Service scope

File Canada provides guided information, software workflows, and managed filing support for the packages identified at checkout. The service does not itself act as a law firm, accounting firm, tax adviser, or government registry, and its general information is not legal, accounting, or tax advice. The questionnaire offers jurisdiction-aware results across every Canadian province and territory, plus federal incorporation. Managed filing is offered only when an eligible, current package appears at checkout. Available structures and name steps vary by jurisdiction. Manual-review, unspecified-jurisdiction, unavailable- structure, and unreleased product paths do not create a filing order or charge.

Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information, reviewing filing details before submission, maintaining account security, responding to requests for missing information, and obtaining independent professional advice when your situation requires it.

Fees and third-party services

Checkout identifies the File Canada service fee and any government or pass-through amounts included in the total. Stripe processes payment. Registries and other third parties control their own systems, processing times, acceptance decisions, fees, and availability.

Availability and liability

The service may be changed, suspended, or interrupted for maintenance, security, or circumstances outside File Canada's control. Any warranty, liability limitation, indemnity, governing-law, and dispute-resolution language remains subject to qualified legal review before launch.
